Järgmine lahing ootab ees Narva Transiga, tule kindlasti staadionile!

U-21 meeskond juhib Esiliiga B-d!

Duubelmeeskonna hooaeg Esiliiga B tasandil on alanud suurepäraselt! Neljast mängust on kogutud ideaalilähedased 10 punkti, mis on NKFC järelkasvu meeskonna tabelitippu lennutanud! Väravaid on paugutatud konkurentidest märksa enam ning tulemused on olnud vinged: 0:7 võit PJK üle, 5:2 Tammeka duubliga, 3:4 Tallinna Kalevi vastu ning 2:2 viik Viljandi Tulevikuga. Tasub märkida, et klubi talvine ost, kanadalane Promise David on vastaseid kostitanud neis mängudes lausa 6 väravaga.

Pisikeste pantrite edu noorteturniiridel

Nõmmekate väiksem järelkasv on eriti tubli, sest hiljuti saadi kaela kõige kirkamad medalid! 2015. aastal sündinud poisid võitsid Apollo Cup 2023 nimelise turniiri, alistades oma teel kõik vastased! Viljandi Tulevik Cupil said sama vägiteoga hakkama U9 vanuseklassi poisid, kes samuti nüüd kuldmedalite võrra rikkamad on.

Fitogether, which specializes in the analysis of football data, will become Kalju FC’s official partner of Electronic Performance Tracking System(EPTS) for football players starting this coming season.

Fitogether’s product “OHCOACH” is FIFA IMS certified and has received the highest rating for accuracy and consistency in the 2020 FIFA EPTS Quality Program. Fitogether is the official sponsor of the Korean league, including the youth leagues. K-League professional clubs have benefited greatly from the use of OhCoach technology, allowing players to significantly improve their performance. Fitogether works with more than 350 clubs and continues to grow with useful feedback from users.

By offering EPTS devices, software, and fitness tests to be carried in the coming years, Fitogether will provide Kalju with the ability to improve the physical condition of football players.

Among other things, Kalju FC’s new equipment can be used to facilitate the monitoring of footballers’ training data and their health indicators. Other initiatives are being developed to build the club’s capacity, such as activities aimed at the club’s youth players and participation in the annual conference on sports science and technology to equip those who are up to date with the latest knowledge.

Fitogether’s director, Kim Taeryung commented on the cooperation agreement: “With the current Covid-19 pandemic, player management is more important than ever. Using EPTS equipment can help clubs to assess player performance better and help prevent injuries.”

“Fitogether is a fast-growing company, we have been issued FIFA certificates and I believe that our technology will help Kalju FC players perform better. We are very happy with the cooperation with the renowned Estonian club, and we will follow their further development with great interest, ”added Taeryung.

“The cooperation between the Estonian football club and the South Korean technology company is of significant importance because the digital future of our country must also take a step forward in the field of sports. I am extremely pleased to be able to benefit from each other. Information and sports technology contribute to the development of football, and through our joint efforts, we will all grow together. Who knows, maybe we will be able to build a new digital bridge between Estonia and Korea in the course of this cooperation,” said Kuno Tehva, the Chairman of Kalju FC.

Kalju’s Sports Director, Argo Arbeiter added: “We are looking forward to working with Fitogether. Thanks to them, our coaches will be able to use state-of-the-art technology to evaluate the performance of players and thus develop better training programs and raise their playing standards “.

Eddie Cardoso, the new head coach of Kalju FC, also expressed satisfaction that he could add the use of technology to his training plans, saying: “The use of tracking and performance data has become a key and widespread application in modern football. Fitogether devices will definitely help us raise our level.

The post Kalju FC signed a sponsorship agreement with a South Korean technology company–Fitogether first appeared on Kalju FC.

The explosive growth of eSport has also reached Estonia! Nõmme Kalju FC, in cooperation with 24h Production team, will open its eSports department and create an e-football team as the first football club in Estonia.

The newly formed Nõmme Kalju eSports team will compete under the name of NKFC eSports. In the first phase, their main focus is on the football simulation game FIFA, but there is a definite plan to expand to other well-known game titles such as DOTA 2, League of Legends and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, in the future.

With the creation of its eSports team, NKFC (like other well-known European football clubs such as Ajax, PSG, Manchester City, Real Madrid, Schalke 04, AS Roma), have entered the world of eSports.

In the entertainment and sports world, eSport has experienced a rapid growth during the last decade Today, there are nearly 30 different established eSports titles from battle games like Counter-Strike to sports simulations like FIFA. In 2017, eSports reached an estimated 400 million viewers with a projected audience of 600 million by 2020. Prize funds have also risen sharply, rising to approximately $ 121 million in 2017.

The newly formed team NKFC eSport is currently composed of two Estonian players but is expected to grow to 8 players from mainly Northern Europe. At this moment the team is negotiating with a Swedish eSport player, who has already made a name for himself in FIFA on the global scene.

The first members of NKFC eSports are two of Estonia’s best FIFA players; Henry William Heinola and Marko-Alari Lont. Marko, also known as “Maroco”, has been regularly broadcasting on the Twitch.tv platform for the last year, playing FIFA and gaining a community of followers. Both players have won a number of tournaments, including the Estonian Virtual Tournament Series and the FIFA Night of the Tournaments. Heinola will wear shirt number 24 and his eSports name will be NKFC_Henry, Lont’s shirt number will be 11 and his eSports name will be NKFC_Maroco.

The pro players are very excited for the opportunity to represent NKFC. “It is very exciting to be an established professional player in the first e-football club of Estonia, to be a part of creating a professional Estonian eSports culture.” commented Lont. Heinola added: “I’m veryexcited about our future with NKFC. We want to develop and promote eSports culture in Estonia. We want to show that it is possible for Estonia to reach the highest level in the world and secure its future on the eSports scene. We have all the means to do this and now we have taken the first step”

NKFC’s co-founder is 24h Production, a company engaged in video production and live broadcasting. Established in 2016, the companies main focus are on poker, eSports live events, and development of marketing strategies for the industry. 24h Production has a wide and stable customerbase across Europe.

Tim Vaino, the managing director of 24h Production, commented on the cooperation: “The values of 24h Production and Nõmme Kalju are even on every level – we always look towards the future, we have a clear vision and we are innovative in our activities. As big football enthusiasts, we had no doubt that with NKFC we have the opportunity to achieve great goals together. We have seen the future in eSports for a long time now.”

A goal of NKFC is summarized by Vaino: “We want to contribute to the growth and popularization of Estonian eSports culture. To do this, we intend to bring meaningful scenes of eSports to both existing fans and future supporters.”

Kuno Tehva, the President of Nõmme Kalju FC adds: “In the creation of our eSports department, NKFC targets to create an organized virtual sports ecosystem in Estonia that would systematically develop into European or even global reach that should be convenient for everyone interested to follow. Estonia is perceived internationally as an e-state, for example with its introduction of e-citizenship, eSports is the next logical step. This is a great opportunity for Estonia, we have all the prerequisites for reaching the top of the world in eSports, because eSport doesn’t know any boundaries and we can build our mega stadiums in the virtual world and we are technically and mentally well prepared for it.”

By now, already two sponsors have joined the NKFC eSports, including Isport and Impuls. “Since Isport is a long-time partner of Nõmme Kalju FC, we support all new initiatives and ventures of Nõmme Kalju FC, we have done it in the past and will continue to do so in the future. Creating a team like this is very innovative in Estonian football and it all promotes more football and will bring more and more young people to football in the future.” said Jaanek Metsva, Chairman of the Board of Isport. Impuls Marketing Manager Gerda Mändsalu added: “eSport is our future and as our very good partner, Nõmme Kalju FC, is taking a step into the eSports world, we decided to join and make a contribution, because we find their lifestyle similar to ours”.

On the 20th of March, a friendly match was held between Nõmme Kalju FC and NKFC eSport Team, where the FIFA’19 game was played on a Playstation console at Hiiu Stadium. NKFC eSport athletes NKFC_Maroco and NKFC_Henry were challenged by the best goalscorer of Premium Liiga, Liliu and Maximiliano Uggé, the captain of Nõmme Kalju FC. The match was won by NKFC eSport Team with the score 4:0.

A more detailed overview of our plans in the field of eSports will be provided by Nõmme Kalju FC and 24h Production in the coming days.

In addition to domestic league Tamm proved himself already in preseason when Kalju had games at international level. Last spring Kalju played against Norway five-time league champion Oslo Vålerenga, where Tamm managed to score the only goal. Tamm also took part in UEFA Europa League games, where he scored winning goal against Island club Stjarnan.

”I’m really happy to sign contract with my youth club, where I have played for almost 13 years.
”My main goal for upcoming season is to protect the title and help my team as much as possible. I always want to give 100% of me,” added Tamm about his targets for new season.

”I remember when Alex was a little boy and back then it was already clear that he can reach far.

Nõmme Kalju FC’s captain Maximiliano Ugge extended contract and will stay in the club for next 2 season.

”I’m happy to announce that I extended contract with Kalju because I believe in our team and goals set by the club. After such an amazing season it would have been very difficult to leave a team who is like family to me. So we decided together with coaches and club president to continue our cooperation and extend my contract. After three seasons in Kalju I feel like home and I can say from my heart that staying here is right decision,” commented Ugge.

He added: ”I’m really happy to continue playing in Kalju and I’m really excited to see what new season has in store for me and for the club. Now it’s time to start working to overcome last seasons achievements.”

Nõmme Kalju FC president Kuno Tehva is also very happy about continuation of cooperation: ”I’m happy and also very proud that our road with our captain will continue. It shows mutual trust which deserves respect that one of the best players in Premium League, who has played in Kalju for 3 seasons and who is our captain and leaded us to be the champions, extends his contract for two more years.”

”We have few players like Maximiliano and his type of player is looked by big clubs from other countries. Good luck, Max, I believe that you will go far!” added Tehva.

27-years old Inter Milan youth system player Maximiliano Ugge joined with Nõmme Kalju in 2016. With 3 seasons he has played 94 games in Premium League, in addition he has represented Kalju 12 times in Europa League. In 2018 Ugge won first championship of his career.

The post Official: Captain extended contract with Kalju first appeared on Kalju FC.

First things first – how shall football fans call you? Ellinton Antonio Costa Morais sounds kind of long. Is Liliu your footballer’s name?

Yes, it is! that’s how people know me since I started in football.

What’s the story behind this name?

It came from my sister, my uncle used to call her Lili which is a short abbreviation of her name, so when we were kids she couldnt pronounce my name and ended up calling me Liliu, and this stayed forever.

While people may have to get comfortable with your name you’re used to get comfortable with different countries. Estonia is the 8th country you’re playing and live in. Is this getting easier somehow country by country?

At the beginning it was very difficult because of the language barrier, weather, far away from family, but then you start getting used to it and become a bit easier. The key is to learn the local language, I speak Portuguese, Spanish, Italian, English, a bit of Maltese, Estonian and Russian. So now I can really manage.

The first time you left Brazil for playing football was in 2010 when you signed a loan contract with KVC Westerlo in Belgium. Can you describe how this step felt by that time and how the transfer was initiated?

I was playing u19 in Brazil and the scout of Westerlo was in brazil to watch young players and thanks God at that day I made a good match and was invited to join them. It was a huge step in my life and career, all brazilian kids dream to play football in Europe.

Seemed like you’ve convinced Westerlo because they signed you on a fix basis afterwards and you scored nine goals and assisted on two in 40 games. Impressive statistics for a 20 year old so far away from home. What has been the reason that they released you quite short after that?

I remember that I had a great start with Westerlo scoring five goals in my first nine matches. After some time the team ended up in the relegation for the second division, so we decided to finish the contract in commom agreement.

Looking back, maybe it was a mistake to break the contract and I should of stayed in Belgium, but that was the decision back then.

Afterwards you changed clubs quite often playing in Kuwait, Cyprus and Israel. Also, you had longer stay in Malta. Can you describe this phase of your career and how it influenced you as a person and a player?

I think I may have had bad advice and wrong choices at some point of my career but this is past and it helped me to grow as a person. I prefer to take the positive side of all the countries I’ve been before.

A year ago, you changed to Estonia to Tallinn-based club Nomme Kalju FC. How did they get in touch with you and how did all parties realize the deal?

It was thanks to the collaboration between my agent Jorge Garcia and club’s president Kuno Tehva, which I appreciate the opportunity to play in Estonia.

After one year of playing in Estonia – are you feeling like home there already? Despite the nice Estonian summer this year the weather is always a fact, isn’t it?

Since the first day I was warmly welcome by all the players and staff from Kalju, so I can say I do feel like home since the beginning. The weather was not a problem since I’ve been in similar condition in Belgium, I can say I’m really used to it.

Kalju has transferred another Brazilian player [William Gustavo] a short time ago. Is this something you feel like you need to have to feel more comfortable or is it just “another asset”?

Of course is always nice to have another fellow countryman but it wouldn’t be a problem without any other Brazilian around, I think it all depend how people welcome you in the club and to be able to speak their language. Anyway William is a great addition to make our team stronger.

Regarding the quality level of the football – where would you rank Estonia and Premium Liiga especially compared to the countries you played before?

I think today I put just behind Belgium, all the other countries I believe Estonian teams are perfectly able to play at the same level, Kalju showed it two years ago beating a Israeli team in Europa League qualifying for example.
Our head coach Sergey Francev have a lot of experience, demands are high, the training sessions are well organized and in good level. Despite not so good results in UEFA Europa League this year, I am sure that Estonian football is on the way up.

This season so far went unbelievably well for you [insert current statistics] and you’re the current leader of the Golden Boot Ranking. Have you ever had such a season yourself? Is this also an outcome of the circumstances at Nomme Kalju FC?

I like to score goals and I did it in other clubs and countries as well, including Malta, but I’m very happy that this season in Kalju I’m having a good sequence and I hope to keep it going till the end of the season. The Golden Boot is nice to have but to me is more important that our team wins and finish with the title.

Do you now aim to score a special number of goals? There are a couple of games left to play…

I don’t have a special number, so far I scored 22 goals in 19 league matches and I just want to score as much as possible to help my team to be champion. If it ends up as being also the top scorer of the league, it will be a perfect season for me. But if I think about it, I believe 35 goals would be a great number.

You have a valid contract with Nomme Kalju FC until the end of 2018 while the club has an option to go for another season. It seems kind of sure they are going to take it. What are your plans with Kalju?

Right now my only thoughts are to be champion, afterwards we will decide what is the best for all of us.

Looking at the midterm situation – do you have plans to make a move to a stronger European league?

Every player aim to play for a big European league, and I’m not different of them, I’ve been there in the beginning of my career and I believe I can be there again. My job is to keep working, help the team and to score goals, the rest will come after.

The question regarding a stronger league also refers to the current results of the Estonian clubs in the European cups. Unfortunately, each of the teams [Kalju, Levadia, Narva – waiting for Flora vs APOEL] lost. This is not unknown to Estonian football fans. Do you have an explanation for that?

True, the Europa League results this year where not as good as expected. I am sure that the main reason behind this was the one month break in the domestic league due to the world cup, we just lost the game rhythm.
But in the end of the day what really matters are the results we had in the past years, Kalju is the most successful club in Estonia when it comes to European games and I am sure that the years to come will prove the same.
Usually we have reached to the second and third qr in Europa League, but maybe this year we will have more energy now to fight for the title.

Regarding the Premium Liiga, there is big competition between the three Tallinn-based clubs Kalju, Levadia and Flora. The gap to rest of the league is indeed really big. Often, the last placed teams earn only single points on several occasions. Would you consider this a problem for the league or is it enough competition?

For the level of the league it might be a problem since some teams cannot really compete on the required level, but every game we need to play with full concentration to not give them any chances and get every single point.
I hope our FA will split the league in the years to come, it would make sense and give both groups more competitive games.

Estonia has one of the lowest age averages in 1st division football in Europe. For the youngsters this situation is surely positive. How do you feel does it influence international competitiveness?

For International level sometimes is a bit harder for them, specially when they have the first big matches but mixing with some experience players we can have the balance that we need to become a solid team work.

Regarding low averages – not many people come to attend football matches in the stadiums in Estonia? Where are the reasons for that in your opinion? Infrastructure? Interest?

It could be infrastructure since the stadiums are not so big and comfortable (except A le Coq Arena and Kadriorg stadium ) or perhaps the fact that all the matches are broadcasted live, people probably prefer to watch at home because the TV numbers are growing. It’s a process, Estonia is re-building the whole football culture because it stopped after separating from Russia in 1991. Eventually it will come and the stadiums will be full. Despite lower average in attendance, our home games in Nõmme have great atmosphere and we have amazing support from our fans.

This year, Tallinn hosts the final of the European Supercup between Real Madrid and Áteletico Madrid. Is this a special chance to increase football interest in Estonia? Will you attend the game?

It is a super event, this is something that Estonia really needed! Maybe after that people start to be more interest about football and can attend more matches at the stadiums. I hope I can attend, it’s a unique experience to watch some of the best players in the world.

Regarding the impression you’ve left in Malta – there is a rumour the Maltese FA is interested that you play for their national Team. Is that true and how is it possible?

I am liable for Maltese passport and therefore I was approached by the Malta FA to join the national team. I am happy that I left a good impression to the national team coaches, I was fortunate to score goals in Malta and to be the champion of the FA Cup. I am more then happy and honored to accept the call and I’m looking forward for this international challenge.

What’s the approximate timetable for the next steps then?

I believe after the end of the current season, hopefully with the title of the league and golden boot.

Last question – can you please tell us about the most interesting experience you had considering football.

I believe it was the final of the Belgian Cup in 2011 against the well known Standard de Liege! My father flew for the first time in his life just to attend that match, and although we didn’t win, it was definitely the most beautiful experience of my career. To play in front of 55 thousand people with my father in the stand was a dream come true.

Nõmme Kalju FC, in partnership with English Premier League Club Tottenham Hotspur, will run its world-class ‘InternationalPlayer Development Programme’ and ‘Coach Education Programme’ in Estonia.

The ‘Player Development Programme’ is designed for players aged 10 – 15 years and focuses on every aspect of the game using the same coaching methods delivered within the Club’s renowned Academy. The programme also aims to develop the players’ off-pitch values such as discipline and respect as well as their on-pitch techniques.

The ‘Coach Education Programme’ aims to teach local grassroots coaches how to create an environment that attracts, retains and develops players within the framework and philosophy of Tottenham Hotspur.

Tottenham Hotspur is one of the fastest growing English Premier League clubs with a reputation for developing players from a young age. Tottenham Hotspur FC philosophy is to create an environment that attracts, retains and develops top quality players. Tottenham International Player Development Programme and Coach Education Programmes will take place in Estonia, Italy, Switzerland, Denmark, Norway and Ireland.

Andy Rogers, Tottenham Hotspur Global Coaching Manager, said “Our FA and UEFA-qualified coaches travel extensively around the globe to create learning environments for young players and coaches to develop and reach their potential. Delivering our programme in Estonia is a brilliant opportunity for the Club to showcase our unique style to a new audience and develop players and coaches.”

”I am confident that our co-operation with Tottenham Hotspur will be productive and the quality and expertise they offer will help Kalju’s players and coaches. Nõmme Kalju development plan for five years had 5 goals. First one was to start with youth work and to raise to the highest league, second to win the Championship title of Estonia, third to make breakthrough in Europe, which we have achieved through our performance in UEFA Europa League and ECA (European Club Association). The next two goals are to bring Kalju’s youth work to European level and develop our infrastructure. Behind us is more than 15 years of hard work, but we are really proud of our achievements and we begin to work with heightened motivation for the following goals,” commented Nõmme Kalju’s president Kuno Tehva.

The THFC Player Development Programme in Estonia will be held in elite camp format. The program will take place on 20-24 August at Hiiu stadium. Camp day time is 9.30 am to 3.30 pm. Price is 240€ for five days, includes lunch and each participant receives a bespoke Spurs training kit (shirt, shorts, socks). Key items are NKFC Training uniform, shoes for artificial ground, shin pads, water bottle, towel and pocket money.

Nõmme Kalju FC was established in 1923 and is the most successful club from Estonia in Europa League with around 800 youth in the academy. In 2012 NKFC won the Championship title and in 2015 the first Estonian Cup trophy. In the past 10 years Kalju has finished the Estonian Premium league on top three position.

European Club Association(ECA) is celebrating their 10th anniversary.

ECA was establised on 21st of January 2008 when their Association created through the signing of the first Memorandum of Understanding with UEFA. According to ECA’s Chairman Andrea Agnelli, on that day UEFA began to recognise that clubs were a credited counterpart in the building of the future of football.

Ten years ago ECA started from clean sheet, but for now ECA has managed to establish itself as a serious and well-respected stakeholder on the European football landscape and has significantly influenced the development of European club football and its governance structure. Agnelli told, that ECA’s achievements and remarkable evolution would not have been possible without its member clubs’ commitment, contribution and active participation.

ECA has 230 members from 54 national associations. Nõmme Kalju has been ECA’s member since 2017. Nõmme Kalju’s Chairman Kuno Tehva qualified to ECA Club Management Programme and he is also a member of ECA Marketing & Communications Working Group. Nõmme Kalju’s press officer Sarah Brigitta Praun belongs to ECA Womens Football Committee.

The post ECA celebrates 10th anniversary! first appeared on Kalju FC.
