Nõmme Kalju has prolonged contract with Japanese midfielder Hidetoshi Wakui, who signed one year contract, with option to extend it by one season.
“I am happy to continue in Nõmme Kalju and I’d like to thank my family, friends and all the people in Kalju, who has supported and belive in me,” Toshi said, adding: “I promise that I come back to the field soon to get title and fight to reach group stage of UEFA Europa League.”
“At the moment It’s all about he’s recovery and how fast he can get game fit. He is one of the leaders in team and we count on him,” commented Kalju’s head coach Sergei Frantsev.
32 year old Japanese, who’s nickname is Toshi, joined Kalju in 2011 and has helped Kalju to achieve Estonian championship title in 2012 and Estonian Cup title in 2015. He has represented Kalju on 160 games and has scored 64 goals, which makes him the second top goalscorer in clubs history.
At the moment he is trainig individually and is expected to return to full training by March.
